It’s Not What You Know

If you’re like me, you like being right…and you like for right to prevail. That sense of “justice” has folks becoming increasingly frustrated as events in our world continue to spin it in the opposite direction. More and more, it seems like the facts don’t matter. Few come to logical conclusions anymore…or even ask the correct questions in the first place!

We know God is truth from Christ’s declaration in John 14:6, “I am the way and the truth and the Life…” So truth definitely matters! What’s going on around us seems to scream otherwise. Maybe God’s not as absent as it appears on the surface in this crazy, mixed up world. Maybe there is a message from Him, even in the happenings which seem to fly so counter to “truth.” Could it be this underlying message is a reminder that, just like the first century Pharisees, we are too caught up in events, rules, and the things of this earth? We are trying to make things right with WHAT we know. The solution is closer than it seems…

It really is WHO you know that gets you through life.

And this is the real and eternal life: that they know you, the one and only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you sent. John 17:3
