Fruit Inspectors

2016 08Aug MSM FeatureNo disrespect to the FDA, but we are all fruit inspectors (spiritually speaking), and there is no special training or skillset required.

“You can tell what they are by what they do. No one picks grapes or figs from thornbushes. A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot produce good fruit.” Matthew 7:16-18

Two quick observations in one here.  Jesus makes it plain that each person can easily recognize and classify persons by the fruit they bear.  Yes, we are to do it for ourselves!  No secular or religious leader, know-it-all friend or relative, government or media agency, or political or social group opinions necessary.  Also, it will be simple and straightforward!  No expert knowledge of horticulture, cross-pollination, or plant cell structure required.  The world may try to mislead and misdirect, but truth is basic, actions tell the story, and fruit is tasty or rotten!

God is not the author of confusion (I Corinthians 14:33), so it must come from somewhere else.  Let’s not make this harder than it is.  A little fruit inspection goes a long way in figuring out who is aligned with God and His plan and purpose.

Knock, knock.  Who’s there?  Orange.  Orange who?  Orange you glad the Father gives spiritual fruit AND the ability to discern its goodness?

See you in the produce section.
